 |

Stratified soft rocks such as: lime clays, arenaceous
shales, sandstones with lime binder, conglomerates, porous
gypsom, soft anhydrites, stratified soft and medium-compacted
rock such as: medium-hard shales, anhydrites, marbles,
sandstones with clay-silica binder, very arenaceous hard
marls interspersed with limestones, marl dolomites, clay
sidertites, limonites. Medium hard compacted rocks such
as: hard crystalline limestones, silica sandstones with
ferruginous binder, arenaceous limestones, hard anhydrites,
compressed limestones, medium-hard dolomitized rocks such
as: compacted rocks as above mentioned interspersed with
hard interbeds.

High penetration rate is ensured by long chisel-shaped
inserts and considerable offset of cone axis against the
centre line of a bit. Greater top angle of the insert
prevents from breakage and maintains full gage longer.
